Hosta are one of the finest woodland plants and ground covers for the shade.
You can use smaller hosta in mass plantings or one large hosta as the focal point of the garden.

Easy Care/ Low maintenance

Hosta are very hardy and long-lived and they are easy to care for. They come in all shapes - from lance-shaped leaves to big, bold crinkled leaves; all sizes - from small edging plants to huge specimen plants; in solid colors - various shades of green, yellow, or blue; in variegated forms with contrasting cream, white, or yellow streaks, edges, or centers; with lavender or white flowers, some of which are quite fragrant; from deep shade lovers to sun tolerant forms. The diversity is monumental!

Great Companions

Plant hosta under crab apple, cherry or dogwood trees; plant them among ferns, Astilbe, Japanese Anemone, Lobelia, Dicentra, Pulmonaria, or any other shade or part shade loving perennials, trees, or shrubs. They absolutely light up the shade!
