Peonies are the aristocrat of the perennial garden with their showy profusion of beautiful flowers in the spring. They are long-lived, reliable, and make excellent cut flowers.

Peonies prefer full sun or bright shade and well-drained soil, with good air circulation. No winter protection is needed. Do not mulch peonies as it may cause root rot.
